If you feel the need to get in touch with the ‘real’ Vietnam then a mountain bike tour may be the perfect option for you. Bike Trips Vietnam has their office at 84 Hung Vuong St., right in the centre of the tourist hub, and offers some great cycling options. One day rides around the city, to the countryside including a cooking class, to local waterfalls or to Heaven’s Pass on the road to Dalat are all popular, but for the serious rider 4/5 day trips to Hue or Hoi An will test even the most experienced. Mr Xuyen is the guy to call.
