If train travel is your thing then you have a great selection of routes to choose from when you leave Nha Trang. Head on down to HCMC on the night train, sleeper style, soft seat or hard seat (hint: don’t go the hard seat). It arrives early in the morning in time for breakfast and a day of sightseeing. Going north there are a number of trains running throughout the day or night all the way through to Hanoi. Hop on one and get off where the impulse takes you. Tickets can be bought by hotel staff or any travel agents around town.

Jumping on a bus in HCMC is easy with a wide selection of companies to choose from. All operate with sleeper style seating and will get you into Nha Trang early the next morning. Ticket prices range from VND180,000 to 250,000 depending on the day. They make a couple of stops on the journey so make sure you take advantage of them for a comfort break. Other fares out of Nha Trang are to Dalat VND99,000 – 160,000, Mui Ne VND110,000 – 160,000, Hoi An VND200,000 – 250,000 and to Hanoi from 700,000 to 1 million VND. Most bus companies will pick you up from your hotel, but check that out when you book.

Cam Ranh International Airport is around 45-minute drive, 35 kilometers from downtown Nha Trang. Domestic flights are available through Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar, and Vietjet Air, with many flights and destinations available. We have also recently made welcome China Airlines, who are flying direct from Guangzhou. Getting to the airport is easy by taxi, around VND350,000 – 400,000 or check with your hotel and they may have a deal with a private company. There is also a public shuttle bus to and from the airport for VND50,000. It starts at 5:30 AM at Yersin Street (in front of the stadium gate) with the last bus leaving NT at 19:30 and at 21:50 from the airport.
